My House Was a Craft Store - Updated x2

From the moment we asked our wedding party to be in our wedding I knew that I wanted to figure out the perfect gifts to give everyone that would be meaningful and/or useful. There are many adorable wedding party gifts out there that just aren't as practical as I was going for. We brainstormed for months before it was time to actually start buying and making everything.

 

I did a terrible job taking pictures as a bought & made everything, sorry for that, but the photographer took some pictures of the final products on the Day of, so I'll update this & post them when I get those back from her :) Sorry, again!

 We decided on the following gifts:

• Yellow tank tops to wear while getting ready the morning of the wedding. I had the fleur de lis from our invitation and "07.12.14" printed in gray vinyl and pressed on the front and back. Ordered from Decorate With Vinyl from Etsy

Wedding is done...Honeymoon is over :( ...house is coming together...I will start working on a BIG update of the past few (CRAZY) weeks and then get back in the swing of things here, but give me a few days to make sure everything's included!

Weekend Recap #2

Another week & weekend full of wedding productivity! I finally feel like everything's under control and will be ready, and what's furthest away from that is what I'm leaning on friends and family for help, so I know it will all work out! :)

Weekend Recap



For the weekend, Tyler and I made the drive to Midland for a bridal shower. It was a short fast-paced weekend, but it was wedding productive, always nice to see the family and I was showered with gifts and love from some Midlanders I hadn't seen in a long little while (it was just for the ladies, so I passed the Congrats messages on to Tyler after the fact).

 

With my folks temporarily putting up my sister and her family while they're in house limbo waiting on the new one to be built, there's always something happening and there's a fancy swingset and big patio furniture that lured us outside for a good portion of our time there. Tubbs & I thoroughly enjoyed our time on the swings.

It's no secret that I, along with millions of other viewers, am obsessed with L&O:SVU. I don't take it so far as to create a fan page for the show, or it's main actors, but I enjoy the marathons, sit on the edge of my seat during new episodes, and have become intrigued by the foundations which lead actress Mariska Hargitay is associated with.
