All week long the forecast said we were going to be shooting our engagement pictures in a fantastic 68 degrees, and I chose my outfits accordingly. We kept waiting for the sun to come out yesterday but apparently Sunday's cold front arrived a day early so we never saw the sun or a temperature above 45 degrees.
Needless to say it was not ideal, but Callie kept us moving and except for the random gusts of wind when rounding a corner, it really wasn't all that bad. Tommy was nice enough to meet us out there and help corral the pups so we could attempt to get a couple shots with them as well, since our lives pretty much revolve around them.
He snapped a sneak peek of his own for us
Speaking of Tommy, he got himself a puppy last Saturday!
Unfortunately, he immediately had to leave town for a business trip, but that meant that we got to keep her and fawn over the adorableness of this sweet face :)
She, Oakley, has doubled the puppy entertainment around here, she's got such a cute personality and Mattie is wonderful with her - except for the occasional times where she forgets she's 10 times the size of Oakley and plays a little too tough. Chester watches from afar and is waiting for Oakley to grow a little before he gets too attached. She's still not 100% potty trained, but we're getting there, and she even slept from 11pm to almost 7 am yesterday morning! Picture attack!
She's a trooper, she had to sprint pretty much the entire walk just to keep up with the others.
She's obsessed with shoes - if she's not chewing one she's asleep on one
Sometimes she just rolls around pawing at her snout & the air, it's ridiculously cute.
Last one, thanks for sticking around :)
I think I might finally be done setting up our registry! It took me much longer than expected, but it's a little tough to plan the look of multiple rooms just by going back and forth between pictures of items. I started a registry at Dillard's but then only found eight items that I liked better than the ones I'd already picked out at other stores, so that list seems unnecessary. Same thing with my Amazon wish list, very few items there too, and mostly just decor. It's so nice to be able to cross that one off my to-do list and go focus on something new now, since there is always plenty.
