Progress Report

Since choosing the wedding venue (Classic Oaks Ranch) for July 12, 2014 (!!) many more decisions have been made and it's quite a relief, while at the same time I know there is still so much more to be done. 

I have chosen and booked vendors for the cakes, hair & make up and the dj & coordinator duo. My mom and I met with a florist that I will be using but until we decide on what the men are wearing can't finalize what flowers to order. Tyler and I went to a Men's Wearhouse Satruday for him to try on suits and find one we liked. I liked what he tried on but after we left  he voiced that he wants to try different colored shirts with it. Boys are the worst shoppers.
We will be taking our engagement pictures February 1st and hopefully will be able to get Save the Dates out quickly afterwards! I went through some department stores online last night and noted things that I'd like to register for and hopefully by this next weekend I can have things researched so that we can knock that out as well. 

On Friday, Anita, Amanda and I went to a bridal shop so that I could try on some (rather large) bridesmaid dresses. Since I didn't like the way any of the dresses as David's Bridal fit, I wanted to make sure that these didn't have the same issues. Although it's difficult to really know what your size will fit like then you're trying on sizes that aren't yours, I do feel that they are more proportional and felt much better about them. I was really wanting to find something at David's so that it would be easy for all of my scattered about bridesmaids to go and try on dresses, but it looks like I'm going to be that pain in the butt Bride who makes everyone order  from the store that's only in one town :/ sorry ladies!

The house is still coming together, I finally attacked the office and and am now reorganizing and updating our files and trying to come up with an organizational system to help stay on top of things. We had a water back up problem over the weekend that was a smelly mess and kept us from showering and using the washer or dishwasher. Luckily the landlord came through and got it fixed in a surprisingly timely manner so that we weren't put out for very long at all. Not to mention now that our master tub drains like it's supposed to I can actually use the big garden tub!

I'm off to walk the puppies for the first time in the new neighborhood and when I get back write up a new to-do list and attack it to hopefully have a very productive Monday!
